tunza
التعريفات والمعاني
== Swahili ==
=== Etymology ===
Inherited from Proto-Sabaki *-cunzya, from *-cunga (“to look after, to herd”) + *-ya (causative). By surface analysis, -cunga + -ya. Seems to have been influenced by Northern dialect forms like Amu -t̪und̪a; compare Pemba -chunza, which is the expected outcome in Southern dialects. Cognate with Giryama -tsundza (“to observe”).
