== Māori == === Etymology === From Proto-Polynesian *tuqu-taki (“to join together” – compare with Hawaiian kūkaʻi “rope fastening fish nets together”, Tongan tuʻutaki “to join or tie together”, Samoan tutaʻi “to join or knot together [of ropes]”), reanalyzable as tū + taki.
