== Tagalog == === Etymology === Borrowed from Japanese かりまん (kariman), modeled from かりかりまん (karikariman), from かりかり (karikari, “onomatopoeia for crunch”) + 饅頭(まんじゅう) (manjū, “bun”). Popularized by Ministop, a Japanese convenience store franchise chain that sold the snack in the Philippines and Vietnam, and previously in Kazakhstan and Indonesia. Its Philippine operations were rebranded as Uncle John's by 2022.
