Borrowed from Japanese 火影(ほかげ) (hokage, literally “fire shadow”) from Naruto, a manga and anime series about ninjas which are people trained in tasks requiring stealth, wherein a hokage is the leader and considered as the strongest ninja of the village where the main character resides.
