== Welsh == === Etymology === From Middle Welsh digawn, from Proto-Celtic *dīkāneti: *dī- (“from, of”) + possibly the root *kān- (“sound”) that also appears in gwogawn (“glory”), gogoniant (“splendour”), from Proto-Indo-European *keh₂n- (“to sing, make a sound”). Matasović instead glosses it as "to be able, perform masterfully," from Proto-Celtic *kā(g)ni- (“tribute, law”), possibly from Proto-Indo-European *keh₂/₃ǵ-n-, of uncertain relation to words like Latin cōnor (“to attempt”) and Old Church Slavonic канити (kaniti, “to intend”). === Pronunciation === (North Wales) IPA(key): /dɪˈɡɔni/ (South Wales) IPA(key): /dɪˈɡoːni/, /dɪˈɡɔni/ === Verb === digoni (first-person singular present digonaf) to suffice, satisfy ==== Conjugation ==== ==== Derived terms ==== digon (“enough”) digonol (“adequate”) === Mutation === === References === === Further reading === R.
