== Irish == === Alternative forms === cómhrac (superseded) === Etymology === From Old Irish comrac, from Proto-Celtic *komɸroankom (“encounter”). Originally pronounced with /ɡ/ at the end, and the Scottish Gaelic cognate còmhrag is still spelled that way.
