== Hungarian == === Etymology === Probably of onomatopoeic origin; from the same stem as babirkál (“to fritter, tinker”) + -ál (frequentative verb-forming suffix). The stem may also be related to the stem of bibe, bibi and bíbelődik. Possibly developed under the influence of Slovak babrať (“to fiddle with”), from Proto-Slavic *babrati.
