aixecador
التعريفات والمعاني
== Catalan ==
=== Etymology ===
From aixecar (“to climb, to raise”) + -dor. The term may refer to a former practice wherein the aixecador stood up in order to raise the enxaneta up, as the equivalent position of alçador does in the muixeranga tradition from which castells are believed to have evolved. Despite this practice falling out of use, with the aixecador instead remaining crouched beneath the enxaneta, the term remained in use. [1]
