(historical) The legendary ruler (Ọọ̀ni) of Ifẹ̀, he waged a war with Ọbàtálá and gained control of Ifẹ̀, where he became Ọọ̀ni. Because of this and his many descendants who founded modern Yoruba settlements, he is regarded as the father of the Yorùbá people
