The inflected forms were gradually lost and replaced by -andi throughout the Nordic language area. This happened during the 13th century in Norway and as late as in the 17th century in Iceland. In Icelandic, -ǫndum developed into -öndum/-endum, but all inflected forms are now considered obsolete.
