== Salar == === Etymology === According to Dwyer, borrowed from Old Uyghur [script needed] (yad-), ultimately from Proto-Turkic *yād-. Cognate to Turkish yaymak, Turkmen ýа̄ýmak, also Western Yugur [script needed] (yaz-).
