The expression originates from an incident that occurred on 16 April 2024 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. On that occasion, Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes brought the body of her uncle, Paulo Roberto Braga, to a bank branch in an attempt to withdraw a loan in the deceased's name. The woman was caught in the act and charged with attempted theft through fraud and desecration of a corpse.
