tijera
التعريفات والمعاني
== Spanish ==
=== Etymology ===
Inherited from Old Spanish tixera, tisera, from Latin (ferramenta) tōnsōria, from tōnsus. Compare Portuguese tesoura, Galician tesoiras, Asturian tixeres, tisories, Catalan tisores. The unexpected -i- in the Spanish, Asturian, and Catalan forms may perhaps be explained due to influence from synonymous but unrelated Old French cisoires, ciseaux
