Inherited from Medieval Tashelhit تِفِيّا (tifiyya, “meat,flesh”), from Proto-Berber *te-făʔy-e (“meat, flesh”), from earlier *tā-faʔy-ay, ultimately from Proto-Afroasiatic [Term?] (“meat,flesh”).
