== Swedish == === Etymology === From Old Swedish tīdholagh, þȳþilagh, þȳþolagh, compound of thȳdhas (“to have intercourse with”) +‎ lag (“lie down”). The former stems from Old Norse þýða (“to attach oneself to”); compare Swedish ty, Old Norse þýðr.
