telek
التعريفات والمعاني
== Hungarian ==
=== Pronunciation ===
IPA(key): [ˈtɛlɛk]
Hyphenation: te‧lek
Rhymes: -ɛk
=== Etymology 1 ===
The etymology is disputed. It has been derived in at least three ways:
From the same Proto-Finno-Ugric root as the verb telik (“to fill”).
From tel (“ground, soil”) + -k (noun suffix). For the same suffix, compare lélek (“soul”).
From Oghur *tilök “separated (area)”, from Proto-Turkic *til (“to cut”), via Old Hungarian telük. In this case, possibly cognate with Kyrgyz тилке (tilke, “parcel, lot”).
==== Noun ====
telek (plural telkek)
lot (US), parcel (of land), plot, piece of ground (an area or land used for building on or planting on)
===== Declension =====
=== Etymology 2 ===
tél (“winter”) + -ek (plural suffix)

nominative plural of tél
=== Etymology 3 ===
telik (“to fill, to become full”) + -ek (“I”, personal suffix)
==== Verb ====

telek (…) meg, meg … telek ― megtelek ― megtelik
