sylttytehdas
التعريفات والمعاني
== Finnish ==
=== Etymology ===
syltty + tehdas.
The word's idiomatic usage originates from a newspaper headline during the Tattarisuo case reporting an unfounded rumor that a head cheese factory in Helsinki was connected to a series of occult murders. This gave rise to the saying jäljet johtavat sylttytehtaalle (literally “the traces lead to the head cheese factory”), which is used to insinuate that the responsible party in a given case (criminal or otherwise) is easily guessable.
=== Pronunciation ===
IPA(key): /ˈsyltːyˌtehdɑs/, [ˈs̠yl̪t̪ːyˌt̪e̞hdɑ̝s̠]

Syllabification(key): sylt‧ty‧teh‧das
