First attested in 1878. === Adjective === skyfallsliknande (not comparable) (formal) Intense precipitation that may be perceived by the general public as a skyfall (“cloudburst”), or close thereto, but does not necessarily meet the threshold set by SMHI for classification as such. ==== Usage notes ==== SMHI, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, define skyfall (“cloudburst”) as either at least 50 mm (c. 2 in.) rain per hour, or, at least 1 mm (c. 1⁄25 in.) rain per minute. ==== Declension ==== === References ===
