=== Etymology ===
An error in conjugation of the irregular verb saber; possibly taken from the present subjunctive conjugation of the verb, whose forms begin with sep- (sepa, sepas, sepamos, sepáis, sepan).
=== Pronunciation ===
IPA(key): /ˈsepo/ [ˈse.po]
Rhymes: -epo
Syllabification: se‧po
=== Verb ===
sepo
(nonstandard) first-person singular present indicative of saber (particularly in the sense "to taste")
==== Usage notes ====
Occasionally used, including by fully fluent Spanish speakers, with the meaning "to taste" (e.g. *(yo) sepo a azúcar ― I taste like sugar). This usage is proscribed by the Royal Spanish Academy; the standard form is sé (i.e., (yo) sé a azúcar).
Practically never used with the meaning "to know"; in this sense the conjugated form is generally understood to be sé by all adult native speakers.
