==== Usage notes ====
Unlike most Spanish prepositions, según governs the nominative and not the prepositional case with pronouns; thus, "according to me" and "according to you" are translated, respectively, as según yo (not *según mí) and según tú (not *según ti). It is one of only two prepositions to take the nominative case, alongside entre.
Según also does not govern the reflexive prepositional pronoun sí; instead, in reflexive sentences, the nominative third-person pronoun must be used together with the adjective mismo:
Hacen el trabajo correctamente, según ellas mismas. ― They're doing the job correctly, according to themselves.
Regional colloquial usage of the preposition según as an adverbial phrase when followed by que expresses evidential mood, indicating hearsay or non-commitment (meaning roughly "supposedly" or "it is said"):
Según que tiene SIDA. ― They say that he has AIDS.
