Inherited from Ottoman Turkish صاتاشمق (sataşmak), from Proto-Common Turkic *satgaš-, reciprocal of Proto-Common Turkic *satga-, a derivation from Proto-Turkic *satïg. Cognate with Azerbaijani sataşmaq.
