== Turkish == === Etymology === From Ottoman Turkish صاللانمق (ṣallanmaḳ, “intransitive; to swing, to oscillate, to falter”), from Ottoman Turkish صاللامق (ṣallamaḳ, “to swing or rock to and fro, to mind, to pay attention”), from Ottoman Turkish صالمق (ṣalmaḳ, “to let go, to free, to let hang down, to send”), from Proto-Turkic *sal- (“to swing, to let hang down, to let go, to spare, to set free”), morphologically sal- +‎ -le +‎ -n (“passive and reflexive suffix”) +‎ -mek.
