== Finnish == === Etymology 1 === From Proto-Finnic *pistü, equivalent to pistää (“to stab, sting, prick”) +‎ -y. The expected form pisty is dialectal; the initial vowel has labialized as a result of the latter vowel (compare pystyä, from pistää + -yä).
