== Slovak == === Etymology === Inherited from Proto-Slavic *pečarka (“agaric, mushroom consumed roasted or dried (West Slavic dialectal form)”), from Proto-Slavic *pečara +‎ -ka (“diminutive suffix”), which is a phonetic variant of Proto-Slavic *pečěra, being a verbal derivative of *pek- (“to bake, to roast”) +‎ *-ěra. The motivation is the typical form of preparation as food.
