== Italian == === Alternative forms === ogne (archaic, dialectal) onne, onni (archaic) === Etymology === Inherited from Old Italian onne~onni (with /ˈɔ-/ per the Latin etymon), from Latin omnis, from Proto-Italic *opnis, ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *h₃ep- (“to work, toil”). The development of palatalized /-ɲ-/ and closed /ˈo-/, already attested in the thirteenth century (ógne, later ógni), are due to the word being frequently unstressed. Variants with /ˈɔ-/ still survive in much of Tuscany and Central Italy. === Pronunciation === IPA(key): /ˈoɲ.ɲi/° Rhymes: -oɲɲi Hyphenation: ó‧gni IPA(key): (regional) /ˈɔɲ.ɲi/ Rhymes: -ɔɲɲi Hyphenation: ò‧gni === Determiner === ogni (invariable) each, every ==== Related terms ==== === References === === Anagrams === -igno, -ingo, Gino == Norwegian Nynorsk == === Noun === ogni f (non-standard since 1938) definite singular of ogn
