== Finnish == === Etymology === From nav- +‎ -akka, probably derived from the dialectal adjective navea with the same meaning. It has been proposed to be a borrowing from Proto-Germanic *snawwiz (“short-haired”), with a possibly secondary meaning of "fast"; this would imply a Proto-Finnic *navëda.
