"Finnish/Karelian skittles"; a traditional Finnish/Karelian outdoor game resembling skittles, in which the aim is to remove the beer-can-sized wooden skittles from the playing area by throwing a bat (karttu or kyykkämaila) of the size of a baseball bat at them. This game is popular both in the Republic of Finland as well as in the Russian Republic of Karelia.
