=== Pronunciation ===
IPA(key): /ɪʒɪ/
=== Verb ===
izhi
say so to h/, tell h/...; speak a certain way to h/
==== Usage notes ====
The X-1s independent order form, indigoo, is often used to introduce oneself. (TODO: Are there any other contexts where this verb is used to state someone's name? Also, I have been reminded by a friend that the X-1s specifically is interpreted as "the spirits call me")
==== Conjugation ====
izhi is one of the few irregular verbs in Ojibwe. Generally speaking, iN- is the stem onto which inflections are added, but for the inverse theme -igw-, no verb stem is used. For example: odinaan - s/he says to him/her, but indig - s/he says to me has no verb stem and contains only ind- + ∅ + -igw-. The full conjugation can be found here
