irtikâp (definite accusative irtikâbı, plural irtikâplar)
(law) Abuse of public office for personal gain; an act of corruption by a public official, especially by using their position to solicit or accept bribes.

In Turkish Penal Code (Türk Ceza Kanunu), it is different from rüşvet (bribery) in that the initiative often comes from the public official rather than the briber.
