=== Alternative forms ===
inead, ionadh, ionnad
=== Etymology ===
From Old Irish inad (“place, spot”). The word originally ended with a lenited d (/ð/ in Old Irish, spelled dh in the modern language), which was delenited to /d/ before seo (“this”), sin (“that”). This construction was so common that the form with the delenited d spread to all positions in the modern standard language, though ionadh is still encountered in dialects.
