Proto-Germanic *airiz (“earlier”). The former part is the same word as English when and German wenn, wann. === Pronunciation === IPA(key): /vɒˈnɒːˀ/, [vɒˈnɒˀ], [ʋɒ̝ˈnɒ̝ˀ], [ʋɔˈnɔˀ] === Adverb === hvornår when (at what time) ==== Synonyms ==== (dated) når
