== Icelandic ==
=== Etymology ===
From hross (“horse”) + fluga (“fly”). The reason for this nomenclature is uncertain, but some think that it has been given this name either because its feet are reminding of a horse's long legs, or because it has legs which are long and clumsy, like those of a horse (compared to the torso).
