== Latin == === Alternative forms === homāgium, homināgium homināticus m === Etymology === By surface analysis, homin- (“person, man”) +‎ -āticum (noun-forming suffix). Attested no earlier than the eleventh century CE, hence a late creation from which the Gallo-Romance formations were calqued.
