The word for "chopped/hacked" in Norwegian is hogge (past tense hogde); chopped wood has been hogde. Hogde fuel may have morphed into hogged fuel. === Noun === hog fuel (countable and uncountable, plural hog fuels) An unprocessed mixture of coarse chips of bark and wood fiber. Pieces run from a coarse grade of less than 5" to a fine grade of less than 2".
