From Middle Dutch hoerensone, first attested as a gloss for manzer, i.e. mamzer. Equivalent to hoer (“whore, hooker”) + -en- (interfix) + zoon (“son”). Compare English whoreson, German Hurensohn and the rare West Frisian huorresoan, which is perhaps calqued from the Dutch.
