التعريفات والمعاني
== Slovak ==
=== Etymology ===
Inherited from Proto-Slavic *gъnǫti.
=== Pronunciation ===
IPA(key): /ɦnuːc/, [ˈɦnuːc]
Rhymes: -uːc
=== Verb ===
hnúť pf (imperfective hýbať)
to move
(reflexive with sa) to move about
==== Usage notes ====
Hnúť is one of the few verbs of this pattern that use the old forms of the l-participle (hnul) along with ľnúť (“to cling”) and its compounds, usnúť (“to fall asleep”) and some optional ones like starnúť (“to age”). Nevertheless, the compounds of this verb and (optionally) its negative forms use the regular form (nehol/nehnul < nehnúť (“to not move”), pohol < pohnúť (“to move”), prehol < prehnúť (“to bend”), etc.).
