hembrista is usually employed to describe females that subscribed to an ideology of misandry (female superiority), in a not offensive manner, unlike its synonym feminazi. This term is not a synonym of feminism. Some people who consider themselves feminists also use it to express their disagreement with certain female chauvinist ideas or behaviours which some people have, and are usually claimed to be part of feminism.
