hazelnussa

التعريفات والمعاني

== Cimbrian == === Etymology === From Middle High German haselnuz. The weak plural nuzzen is already attested in Middle High German and predominant in modern Upper German (Bavarian Nussn, Alemannic German Nusse). The singular in -a must have been backformed thence. Influence by Venetan noxa is imaginable, but the -a is not original here either. === Noun === hazelnussa f (plural hazelnussen) (Sette Comuni) hazelnut ==== Related terms ==== hazelkhatza === References === “hazelnussa” in Martalar, Umberto Martello; Bellotto, Alfonso (1974), Dizionario della lingua Cimbra dei Sette Communi vicentini, 1st edition, Roana, Italy: Instituto di Cultura Cimbra A.
