== English == === Etymology 1 === Borrowed from Hindi घड़ी (ghaṛī) or Urdu گھڑی (ghaṛī). ==== Noun ==== ghurry (plural ghurries) (India, obsolete) A clepsydra or water clock, consisting of a floating cup with a small hole in it, adjusted so that it fills and sinks in a fixed time. The gong by which the time so indicated is struck. (by extension) A clock or watch.
