== Galician == === Etymology === Probably from Gothic *𐍃𐍀𐌹𐍄𐌿𐍃 (*spitus), from Proto-Germanic *spitō (“rod”); alternatively from a Gothic or Suevic [Term?] form derived from Proto-Germanic *speutą (“spear”).
