== Hungarian == === Etymology === Shortening of the former elölülnök (“president, chairman”, literally “one who sits in front”), from elöl (“in front”) +‎ ül (“to sit”) +‎ -nök (noun-forming suffix indicating an occupation), calque of German Vorsitzender (“chairman”). Created during the Hungarian language reform, which took place in the 18th–19th centuries.
