From Ottoman Turkish دوكنتی (döküntü, “any fluid or loose material poured or thrown out”), from Ottoman Turkish دوكمك (dökmek, “to pour, to spill”), from Proto-Turkic *tök- (“to pour, to spill (a liquid”), morphologically dök- + -ün + -tü.
