(Judaism, Christianity) A biblical object described in Exodus 3:1-22, used by Yahweh to communicate with Moses.
Any plant of several species of Euonymus:
A winged spindle or winged euonymus (Euonymus alatus), with vivid magenta Fall foliage, native to eastern Asia common as an ornamental and invasive in North America.
A western burning bush (Euonymus occidentalis), native to western North America
An eastern burning bush (Euonymus atropurpureus), an ornamental shrub native to the midwestern US that bears a red berry.
A white dittany (Dictamnus albus), a perennial herb which gives off so much essential oil that it can sometimes be lit and will burn briefly without harming the plant.
A forest flame-creeper (Combretum paniculatum), a plant native to Africa.
A summer cypress (Bassia scoparia, syn. Kochia scoparia), a large annual herb in the family Chenopodiaceae, native to Eurasia, introduced to many parts of North America.
