== Northern Sami ==
=== Etymology ===
From Proto-Samic *puorē.
=== Pronunciation ===
(Kautokeino) IPA(key): /ˈpu̯orre/
=== Adjective ===
buorrẹ (comparative buorẹt, superlative buorẹmus)
good
==== Usage notes ====
The adjective buorrẹ does not have a separate attributive form. Instead, it declines in the same case and number as the noun it modifies. There are two exceptions to this:
With a noun in the illative or locative singular, the accusative/genitive form buori is used.
With a noun in the illative or comitative plural, the accusative/genitive form buriid can be optionally used, alongside the regular forms buriide and buriiguin.
The nominative singular form is slightly irregular as well, ending in -e rather than -i.
