Instead, it declines in the same case and number as the noun it modifies. There are two exceptions to this: With a noun in the illative or locative singular, the accusative/genitive form buori is used. With a noun in the illative or comitative plural, the accusative/genitive form buriid can be optionally used, alongside the regular forms buriide and buriiguin. The nominative singular form is slightly irregular as well, ending in -e rather than -i. ==== Inflection ==== ==== Derived terms ==== buoridit buorrẹ juovla buorránit būres ==== Further reading ==== Eino Koponen, Klaas Ruppel, Kirsti Aapala, editors (2002–2008), Álgu database: Etymological database of the Saami languages‎[2], Helsinki: Research Institute for the Languages of Finland == Pite Sami == === Etymology === From Proto-Samic *puorē. === Adjective === buorre good ==== Further reading ==== buorre in Bidumsáme Báhkogirrje (“Pite Sami word list”) Eino Koponen, Klaas Ruppel, Kirsti Aapala, editors (2002–2008), Álgu database: Etymological database of the Saami languages‎[3], Helsinki: Research Institute for the Languages of Finland
