Attested by Hans Jacob Wille in 1786 in his book about Seljord. === Noun === brynestein m (definite singular brynesteinen, indefinite plural brynesteinar, definite plural brynesteinane) a long flat stone (usually 12-20 inches long) used for sharpening of knives, axes and swords.
