bluaj
التعريفات والمعاني
== Albanian ==
=== Alternative forms ===
bluej — Gheg
=== Etymology ===
From Proto-Albanian *mlē(n-), from Proto-Indo-European *melh₁- (“to crush, grind”). Cognate to Old Church Slavonic млѣти (mlěti, “to grind”). Alternatively, according to Orel, from Latin molere (“to grind”), with the same buccalization of m before l as seen in bletë from melitta, though note that others such as Demiraj derive bletë from Proto-Albanian, with the same shift of m to b before l nonetheless. In any case, see Proto-Indo-European *melh₂-.
=== Verb ===
bluaj (aorist blova, participle bluar)
(transitive) to grind
