bļoda
التعريفات والمعاني
== Latvian ==
=== Etymology ===
Borrowed from Old East Slavic блюдо (bljudo, “table, dish”) (cf. Belarusian блю́да (bljúda, “plate, dish”), Russian блю́до (bljúdo, “dish, food”)), itself a borrowing from Germanic (cf. Gothic 𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌸𐍃 (biuþs, “table”)). In Latvian, the borrowing must be old (from before the 13th century), as attested by the presence of o ([uo]) in it.
