== Azerbaijani == === Etymology === A semantic parallel or a calque of Russian боле́льщик (bolélʹščik, “one who is ill with, i.e. obsessed with something”) created by suffixing azar (“illness”) +‎ -keş. The lexical component of the calque is probably not transparent to the speakers anymore (if ever?), which is evidenced by the frequent variant azərkeş. Not attested in a dictionary from 1941, but appears in more recent dictionaries. Russian боле́льщик (bolélʹščik) is attested since 1948.
