From Ottoman Turkish آرمغان (armağan), ارمغان (ermağan). According to Clauson, probably from a Persian loanword into early Oğuz. Accordıng to Nişanyan, from Oğuz *armağan or *yarmakan and cognate with *yarmak (“money”), which Clauson says is possibly a loanword from Tocharian B: yarm.
