== Umbrian == === Etymology === Unknown. The term may be an ablative singular compound of ander- + *uacose, itself possibly from Proto-Italic *wakos and cognate with Latin vacātiō. Alternatively, it may be a compound of ander- + the nominative singular form *uacos (itself from Proto-Italic *wakēto-, ultimately Proto-Italic *wakos) + se.
